NEW BRAINTREE — The Select Board discussed a revised Quabbin Regional School District agreement and considered leasing part of the elementary school to JP McCarthy at $1,100 per month, with a meeting scheduled after April 15. Superintendent Colleen Mucha presented changes to be voted on at member town meetings, including grade expansion to post-graduate level and voting adjustments by population. The district's FY27 budget draft shows 18 position cuts and a $10,000 decrease in New Braintree's assessment.
The Board voted unanimously to accept Highway Department worker Lawrence Canavan's resignation and approved Glidden Hall use requests and Treasury Warrants 19 and 20 totaling $117,148.95.
