New Braintree's Select Board approved a 20-year Quabbin Regional School District lease through 2046 at its May 26 meeting. With Chair Dennis Letendre, Jr. absent, Vice-Chair Joseph Chenevert and Clerk Michael McQueston led nine unanimous votes, including approval of a front door replacement project funded from Capital Improvement reserves and tentative approval for the Council on Aging to use Glidden Hall beginning July 1, pending a fee agreement and conditional on the possible closure of West Brookfield Senior Center. The board approved Treasury Warrant No. 24 for $111,716.50, approved the New Braintree Democratic Town Committee's use of Glidden Hall with the fee waived, and granted Executive Secretary Rebecca Acerra permission to carry over unused vacation time to FY2027.
