New Braintree Select Board unanimously approved overlay surplus funds for Police vehicle purchase. Joseph A. Chenevert, Chair, and Michael McQueston, Clerk, voted to use assessors' overlay funds to purchase a new 2026 Ford Explorer for the Police Chief, with his current vehicle approved for transfer to the Fire Chief to address an aging vehicle that cannot pass inspection.
The board's approval still requires a final vote by the Assessors Board. The board also unanimously authorized Chenevert as signatory on FFY 2025 EMPG Subgrant documents and approved Warrant No. 2 for $97,478.53.
